are only two years old when I first met with wild garlic. Hungary is located in the woods in large quantities and are allowed to pick it up now.
I received a pot from my brother, and we have planted in the garden. For now still has not grown much, so I buy to cook the wild garlic at the market, but perhaps in a few years ...:-)
This paste has been highly appreciated by the family (and children as well !:-), I offer as a starter to a birthday lunch. Eg
Paté wild garlic
the age of 10 months Ingredients (for about 50g paté - loooong!):
250 g sunflower seed shell
1 bunch of wild garlic leaves 1 organic lemon juice
salt 150 ml water
4-5 tablespoons of olive oil
With a blender finely chopped sunflower seeds. Cut into strips the leaves of wild garlic, washed and drained. Heat a frying pan in 2 tablespoons olive oil, toss the garlic wild and stir until withering. When it cools a bit, 'make a puree with a blender, then add the ground sunflower seeds. Sprinkle with lemon juice, add the remaining 3 tablespoons oil and enough water (about 150 ml) to obtain a spreadable cream.
placed in the refrigerator in a covered container maintained for at least 1 week!
Other suggestions:
- you can also do a salad with wild garlic,
- as wild garlic is only since March, you should take in larger amounts, freeze and cut into thin strips or cooked!
