Last Saturday was the day of discovery: a group of friends organized a trip with a lot of driving in the neighborhood west of the city, one that begins around my house, among other things. The group, composed of a dozen assorted rotterdamesi thirties, would not let me escape language with the guide, which I have not heard to ask a language more familiar to me, so I resigned myself to guess the meaning of explanations relying on my thirty words available, but then let me sum up all in English by a friend willing . Considering that it started at two in the afternoon and finished late at night, and that the premises were more than a decade, one can easily imagine how happy I was to find a few steps from home, without the hassle of having to drive.
The evening also offered me the chance to see a folk singer in the area, with a typically local sent the audience into raptures of the pub with a selection of traditional pieces played strictly with the basics, singing in the crowd in a bath of crowd itself. For the record, the average age of regular patrons exceeded not just the olive Mediterranean, he was going to think that the enthusiasm was due to the hormones of puberty in turmoil ...
