Last Friday I received a special farewell gift from the study: a brainstorming session on my project OpenMaji. For those who have problems with English-speaking, the brainstorming is group practice in which people come together around a white wall, and we discuss some design ideas you can shoot more, even without an apparent link. All is common in environments where design is a tradition, a little 'less at home in the universities where they still tend to imagine it as something belonging to an afterlife. This brief explanation to avoid any thought of a version of xenophile bungabunga. We have therefore gathered
armed with beers such as is imposed every Friday afternoon, I presented the project, and then we worked for a couple of hours to find all the defects and possible improvements. I have to say that overcoming the embarrassment to see that your project has the details required for improvement for a while, but definitely the most important part of our job is to fix the projects, so why bother? In the end we were there on purpose to find fault, without blemish and projects you do not already have never seen.
confess that before I had heard him in a rather strong mixed emotions, fear of not being able to sustain a very complex question in English, the fear of not explain clearly, something to show my excitement to my colleagues and so on. Then instead of beer and the familiar environment have meant that after a while I did not even noticing more than speaking a language different from mine, and everything went ahead smoothly and without a hitch. I felt a sense of accomplishment for our eight months of work, like when you brought home the task primary, and two hours after the result of our efforts is a wall full of ideas, sketches, gags. A brief summary will load the video of the entire session, properly packed, do not worry.
Edit: the video was shown as heavy as the cod Livorno, definitely too much for my macbook that has made the gesture at the umbrella view of the workload, so the visual story of the session is sent back to top resources. In the meantime it had received an article a few days ago about the importance of self-correction of the projects and auditing practices of the group. Recommended .
